Baptism is the beginning of our faith and our gateway into
the Church. It is the first of three Sacraments of Initiation
(Confirmation and Eucharist being the other
two). Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn
as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are
incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her
mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration
through water in the word". (CCC 1213)

Christian life in harmony with the Catholic Faith.
- To be a godparent, one has to be at least 16 years of
age, baptized and confirmed, and have received the
First Communion.
- You may have one or two godparents: must have at least one Catholic Godparent. In addition, a Baptized person who is actively practicing the Christian faith may be a sponsor in the role ‘as Christian Witness’, but only in company with a practicing Catholic.
